JA Finance Park builds a foundation of personal finance skills through an experiential, real-life simulation. Students complete a self-guided online curriculum and then participate in a simulation.
Students receive a 'real life' persona during the simulation, with varying family and income scenarios, exploring budget categories, creating a budget, making purchasing decisions, and paying for their expenses, accommodating the needs of their family without overspending. As students navigate through the simulation, they are reminded of balancing their needs and wants as they learn about the impact of credit history on purchasing options.
Who can participate: Students in Grades 7-9.
Cost: $30 per participant
