Lead Program Facilitator - JAWA Mobile Finance Park Education Program
The Lead Program Facilitator is responsible for ensuring participating students and teachers have a successful and engaging experience during their JA Mobile Finance Park simulation.
Impact
JA Finance Park® starts with students learning foundational knowledge through educator-led classroom curriculum and later putting their skills into practice during a visit to JA Mobile Finance Park®. As young people enter the simulated city, they leave behind their lives as middle or high school students and take on a simulated adult life, complete with a career, salary, credit score, debt, a family, and financial obligations. Students make decisions on savings, budgeting, shopping, and paying bills to meet the needs of their simulated lives. Work Location: Based out of Auburn, Yakima, Spokane, or the Tri-Cities, with frequent travel within Central Washington, Eastern Washington, and North Idaho to facilitate programs. Applicants must reside in Washington State and be able to travel between stated work location.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitating and Coordinating the JA Mobile Finance Park® experience, including:
- Be an expert facilitator for JA Mobile Finance Park® simulations, ensuring students, teachers, and volunteers have a successful, engaging experience.
- Lead communications and program day point of contact with educators, schools, and school districts for JA Mobile Finance Park® programs.
- Coordinate a small staff team and volunteers participating in JA Mobile Finance Park.
- Train others to fulfill a variety of roles supporting JA Mobile Finance Park
- Ensure high quality programs and exceptional student experiences.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Development, Communications, and Facilities to ensure a smooth, high-quality execution of JA Mobile Finance Park.
Support the overall success of JA programs and the programs team, including:
- Work in close collaboration with the Finance Park Program Manager and Regional Program Managers.
- Support the growth and success of all Program Facilitators.
- Facilitate other programs as needed.
- Ensure the overall quality and growth of all experiential learning programs.
- Achieve assigned student served, revenue, and budget goals
- Support strategy development and efforts to market and promote JA Mobile Finance Park® and other programs to school districts, schools, educators, administrators, building coordinators, partners, and local area businesses.
- Seek new opportunities to develop partnerships to increase student participation, build community awareness, and ensure all students have access the JAWA programs.
- Maintain a presence and market JAWA through community networking and digital marketing channels.
- Collaborate with the Development team to acquire new Capstone sponsors, including JA Mobile Finance Park® storefront sponsors.
- Maintain relationships with partners, to ensure contract deliverables are met and secure program funding.
- Ensure regular reporting is consistent with JAWA requirements.
- Assist regional staff as appropriate with occasional tasks related to in-school programs and board member activities, such as community presentations, tours, fundraising efforts, and board meeting preparation.
Qualifications (required)
· 2-3 years demonstrated experience with program management, youth development, and/or education
· Strong presentation and public speaking skills
· Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive, high-functioning team.
· Experience with and enjoy working with middle and high school students
· Two years of classroom or business experience is strongly desired
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, changing environment
· Flexible with time; able to be on feet for long periods of time
· Organized and detail oriented
· Advanced computer and database skills
