The Education Engagement Manager, Eastern Washington / Northern Idaho, supports the implementation and delivery of JAWA K-12 programs within a specified region. The Education Engagement Manager provides support for program recruitment, retention, data management, and evaluation while maintaining program quality and integrity. This position serves as a key resource for educators, volunteers, school partners, and community stakeholders and supports the Education Engagement Manager in expanding and sustaining regional programming.

Impact

This position serves as a key resource for educators, volunteers, school partners, and community stakeholders and supports the Education Engagement Manager in expanding and sustaining regional programming. This position is responsible for supporting educator recruitment and classroom acquisition efforts within the communities in their region, with an emphasis on expanding access to underserved student populations. The Education Engagement Manager assists with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, and recognition while helping ensure quality program delivery. The position is responsible for maintaining program data in accordance with organizational standards and objectives and supporting community awareness efforts, volunteer engagement, and regional outreach. The Education Engagement Manager may also provide support for Mobile Finance Park experiences and other special projects as needed. This position reports to the Statewide Program Director. This is a Part-time, non-exempt position. The Education Engagement Manager must reside within its region.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support program quality and integrity through effective communication with program stakeholders, monitor program progress, provide exceptional customer service, share program updates, and support program evaluation efforts. Provide customer-centric program delivery and support.

· Support program growth and expansion through educator recruitment, classroom acquisition, volunteer engagement, and retention of school district, youth development organization, business, and community partners.

· Assist with program presentations in a variety of delivery models and venues.

· Assist with virtual and in-person training and orientation for educators and volunteers.

· Data entry, management, and maintenance, including but not limited to all constituent and program-related information and required documentation within JA’s database systems.

· Collect and report data, testimonials, and regional program progress for internal and external marketing, board updates, and fundraising purposes.

· Support the regional Year-End Verification process by confirming and verifying Learning Experiences (Inspire and Prepare) counts in the organization’s database systems.

· Identify potential programmatic funding opportunities for referral to the development team.

· Assist in developing a yearly departmental calendar.

· Increase public awareness for all programs; pursue opportunities to market JA programs through educator outreach, volunteer engagement, school visits, district visits, and community outreach activities.

· Collaborate with the organization’s directors in strategic storytelling for the website and social media presence to highlight program impact and content.

· Assist in developing and maintaining department tools to support program management, including but not limited to a calendar of events, standard operating procedures, workplans, goals, and accountability tracking.

· Partner with the Community Partnerships team to schedule and facilitate group volunteering opportunities and connect school programming experiences to corporate partners.

· Teach JA classes as needed (not to exceed 10 classes in a school year).

· Manage curriculum/kit ordering, inventory, and delivery.

· Provide support for Mobile Finance Park programming, scheduling, volunteer coordination, communications, and event implementation as needed.

· Serve as a regional resource to the Education Engagement Manager by supporting educator engagement, classroom acquisition efforts, relationship management, and regional program operations.

· Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position, based on experience and requirements.

Qualifications (required)

Knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to the Education Engagement Manager responsibilities; or equivalent work experience.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program coordination, education, volunteer management, community engagement, customer service, or related experience.

· Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills: ability to maintain strong professional relationships with a range of groups, underscored by strong judgment and emotional intelligence.

· Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support regional operations.

· Familiarity with the Eastern Washington / Northern Idaho school districts, community, and businesses.

· Teaching experience, formal or informal, is a plus.
