Impact

Junior Achievement of Washington is seeking Interactive Learning Facilitators who enjoy working with students in grades 4–12 and want to help create an exciting, memorable learning experience. Students visit our JA BizTown and JA Finance Park simulations for what many call the best field trip of the year. In these engaging, hands-on programs, students explore careers, learn financial literacy, and experience real-world decision-making in a fun and supportive environment.

Position Summary
Interactive Learning Facilitators guide students, educators, and volunteers through their day at the JA Education Center in Auburn. This role requires strong communication skills, comfort with public speaking, and an enthusiasm for working with young people. Facilitators help deliver smooth program operations, support visitors throughout the simulation, and contribute to a positive and educational experience for every student.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate JA simulations, including JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and other Junior Achievement programs
• Lead and manage student groups of up to 150 participants
• Provide training and support to volunteers, on-site
• Assist educators and students throughout their visit
• Conduct daily program logistics, including setup, cleanup, inventory, and organization
• Support simulation technology and operational needs
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including minor warehouse tasks
• Collaborate with the Programs team to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences

Qualifications (required)

• Strong public speaking and presentation skills
• Experience working in classrooms, youth programs, camps, or similar environments
• Ability to facilitate large groups and adapt to changing student needs
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, professional demeanor
• Understanding of youth development and ages 9–18
• Ability to observe group dynamics and adjust facilitation methods quickly
• Organized, detail-oriented, patient, and dependable
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
